Campiria startup that connects people looking to rent motorhomes with private owners and rental companies, added €2.7m to its seed round, bringing total seed funding to 4 .6 million euros.
The investment was led by Rockaway Ventures, followed by Miton, which previously invested in Campiri, along with Purple Ventures and angel investors.
Founded in 2020 and based in the Czech Republic, Campiri expanded into Poland, Greece and Slovakia in early 2022. Its market offers a variety of motorhome styles, from small units attached to cars to large motorhomes luxury.
The company says it will use this funding to enter new markets, strengthen its team and buy vehicles to sell to others who want to rent on the platform.

“We have bolder plans than just being a local player. The current investment gives us the opportunity to expand beyond the Czech borders. The majority of the funding will support our expansion and the recruitment of senior executives,” says Lukáš Janoušek, CEO of Campiri.
“While we see great potential in Central Europe, we also see Eastern and Southern Europe as huge opportunities, and we believe now is the perfect time to enter these markets. There are already several competitors in the West, but digitization is just beginning in the Central and Eastern European region.
Campiri claims that in 2021, customers spent more than 5,000 nights in vehicles rented through its platform and around a fifth of Czech rental companies joined the partnership. Now the company aims to achieve the same coverage in other markets and increase its inventory to 1,200 vehicles.
“What attracted us to Campiri was the digital business model that connects campervan owners with those who want to hire them. The popularity of this form of travel continues to grow and its environmental impact is demonstrably lower says Dušan Zábrodský, investment partner at Rockaway Capital.
“Sustainable projects in camping and caravanning are also in line with our ESG [environmental, social and governance] strategy, which is a key factor for us. Our investment in Campiri is a logical continuation of our recent investments in the digitalization of car rental and sales.
Campiri says it donates 1% of each lease to support projects focused on ecology and sustainability.
