Iomob partners with Next Earth metaverse for journey planning

Decentralized Mobility Marketplace Iomob sealed a partnership with sustainability-focused metaverse Next Earth.

The objective of the partnership is to collaborate in the development of a service for planning real journeys via the metaverse.

Spanish low cost airline Vueling is also involved in the initiative, which will allow Next Earth users to track carbon emissions from rides and book carbon positive options using the metaverse and the Iomob app.

Gabor Retfalvi, CEO of Next Earth, says, “Developing methods to visualize and experience sustainable travel within Next Earth fundamentally aligns with the natural evolution that is at the heart of our environment. This is a wonderful next step for the platform and the evolution of our business.

Boyd Cohen, CEO of Iomob, said the company is creating “the transportation infrastructure that enables a more exciting, purposeful and immersive way to traverse the planet.”

In a recent interview with PhocusWire, Boyd Cohen, CEO of Iomob, highlighted the potential for planning real-world trips through the metaverse as well as other possible use cases.

Jesus Monzo, Director of Distribution Strategy and Alliances at Vueling Airlines, says: “Visualizing actual journeys and the carbon footprint of each leg, in addition to using a metaverse interface to select and book the least harmful journey for the environment, has never been done before. .”

Next Earth’s parent, Limitless, will work on integrating Iomob with the metaverse platform.
