Trip-planning app Out of Office takes off with $3.5M in funding

Start of the journey Out of office raised $3.5 for their travel planning and inspiration app.

Hyde Park Venture Partners led the round, with participation from Cameo CEO Steven Galanis, former Orbitz chief product officer Chris Brown, ex-COO of Havenly Jessie Dixon and others .

Launching in August 2021, Out of Office gives travelers inspiration and planning tips based on where their friends have traveled in the past.

Through the app, users can create trips, add locations to them, collaborate with friends, book hotels, and book tables. Users made over 50,000 recommendations in over 3,500 cities.

With this funding, Out of Office expects to double its workforce over the next year.

The company is based in Chicago.
